    I have a translation pt_BR (Brazilian Portuguese). I put it in the languages folder, but I do not know how to make it recognized.

    Hi there,

    is your Wordpress admin dashboard in Portuguese? This is a requirement for the translation file to load, also please make sure you're putting in the languages folder both the .po and .mo files.
