Hi again, I see several posts in the Support Forum about Facebook Sharing, but it still doesn't work properly. Some of my posts pull the right image (Featured) and the one in this screenshot pulls a random image from my Footer??? And the Post Titles + Descriptions that auto-populate are terrible, this has to be something with the way Facebook Share is interacting with the template code bc Google +, Pinterest, Linked In are all working fine... Is there an updated Facebook Share button somewhere?
Testing the live demo all posts I tried seem to share fine.
The footer image is most likely taken as that is a Video post without a featured image, so another image is taken from the webpage (randomly I guess)
While with the other one has something to do the the special character ' in <I'm>, try to use HTML entities character in your post instead, might fix that. Another (non)solution would be to write I am
The post that is grabbing the footer image does have a featured image. Oddly, the featured image does not show up in the post, even though I did not check the option to hide it. I have tried removing the featured image, re-adding it, tried to add it into the post body... Facebook still grabs that footer image, which makes no sense to me. I really need to be able to share the right content to grow my site!
On your demo site, sharing a post does that same thing with grabbing the category info, date, author, "Share It!" etc instead of the post content, but other theme sites similar to MightyMag do not have that issue. There is something wrong in the theme coding that is confusing Facebook.
Last, when simply trying to share my site on Facebook (simply typing the site URL www.julesloves.me into a new post), it does not grab an image. Shouldn't it at least grab the Favicon? Is there a setting I am missing? Feel free to log into the site, the user/password I gave you for the WooCommerce issues is still active.

Please replace your functions.php with the one attached.
Important note: please consider FB is using a heavy caching system for shared posts, so you might not be able to see the updated meta immediately for posts previously shared.

No I don't. I am about to move my site to a new server on HostGator. Is FTP the best way to do this? If so, my current host is a friend, I have asked him to help me replace the file. Just didn't know if you had an alternative to do it.
I see, the alternative would be to copy the entire content of the functions.php file and replace the content of the actual functions.php through the WP editor in Appearance > Editor and select Theme Functions from the menu on the right.
Just be careful that if you don't do it right you could break the site, if you don't feel comfortable about it please provide admin access I'll do it for you.
Yes I did but it solved partially. Also there is a problem testing it as I've learnt Facebook heavily caches pages that has been shared already, making it hard to check for live changes. Anyway it should work better now, I'll dig deeper into this while working on the next update though.
Ok great, thank you for your help on that. Do you know about when you will release the new update? The Woocommerce template files are causing difficulties with ecomm. You can't create a page of products that looks normal, the columns format terribly. As of right now I keep having to pay to keep my Squarespace Ecomm store open to serve my clients, which is $30/mo.
Let me know, I am trying to plan the next few months of my business.

You just need to replace it with the functions.php bundled with the theme folder. Do you have FTP access to your site?
