I have installed the powermag theme on my wordpress page and I was trying to emulate the demo page on my site. I uploaded the powermag_demo.xml and selected download and import file attachments. Most of the media and theme options failed to import. Also when I import the Power Mag Widgets such as the Carosel and the HP Regular into the Homepage Large nothing displays on the webpage. I have spent hours trying to get anything meaningful to display and I am lost. I have read over all the documentation and I am stuck. I have also tried adding the twitter widget to footer 1, using the required codes and all that displays is the title. i tried installing the calendar widget in footer 2 and nothing. like i said I'm trying to get the demo look for my page.

Hi there, that was tough :) It took me an hour to discover the cause of the main issue: the Twitter widget is triggering a fatal error for some reason, looks like a conflict with some other plugin, but even though deactivate them all is still showing, very odd. I suspect there is some entry left in the database by some other plugin. As I tried to replicate the issue on my install but no luck.
For now what I did:
- Installed another Maintenance plugin as I accidentally deactivated yours and couldn't find where that was coming from, sorry about that :)
- Imported posts and attached media
- Imported some widgets from the live demo
Should be enough to get you started, please don't use the Twitter widget for now or if you could test it on a fresh install would be a good troubleshooting.
Thank you so much. Just seeing the way that you installed the widgets gave me a better understanding on how to set up the theme. Before I contacted you I deleted the theme and reinstalled it to see if that would have fixed the problem but it didn't work. Are there any Twitter feed widgets that you would recommend to install in place of Power Mag Recent Tweet? Lastly how do I edit the text in the slider bottom third in the grey box, for instance on the Assassins Creed review where it says, Shabby chic sustainable meggings fixie. Jean shorts messenger bag sriracha, organic pop-up vegan skateboard salvia key tar.
Once again thank you, I have high hopes for my page, hopefully it will be ready for release in the next few weeks, I will drop a review on the ThemeForest Page for all the great help you have provided.
1. "Shabby chic sustainable meggings fixie... " :) Is the excerpt of the post (the beginning of the post content) that get pulled into the slider preview. If you want to control it manually you need to enter a manual excerpt:
2. Not quite sure I got this right, do you mean category backgrounds? Whatever you see on the live demo you could get the URLs by using some inspector tool like Chrome Inspector if you're familiar with it, otherwise I can also attach them to this very ticket. Please just let me know which resources are you referring to particularly, thanks!
