I have noticed that pictures and videos I post on my site, redfoo.tv, are automatically being cropped and sometimes rotated. How can I edit that function to prevent that from happening?
SNEWS only defines thumbnail sizes needed to display featured images correctly throughout the site, images are cropped (never rotated) by native WordPress functions. Videos are not processed in any way instead.
Please disable all plugins as first troubleshooting on this matter.
Few Suggestions:
If you're switching from another theme, you might want to run Force Regenerate Thumbnail plugin in order to re-set them up for SNEWS without the need of re-uploading them.
There are also plugins to control cropping position, since in WP is not possible. Such as Manual Image Crop
