Its not about category colors, the page colors, the breadcrumb, post info, Logo, etc like it changes on the demo.. it did work when i installed the theme first time.
on the live demo logo color and other stuff you mentioned change because of different category colors. If no category color is defined they will get the Theme Options > Colors > Skin Color value, that's why my explanation.
Pages color instead can be defined in the single page options > Skin Color.
Not sure what the issue is then, if you wish provide admin access I'll take a peek (please mark the post as private reply)
Hi, the color of the page doesn't change based on the menu description color i mention
i changed logo class to .demologo but it still doesn't change any colors and is stuck with default skin color

Category colors aren't linked to menu items, that is because you might want to color a menu item that is not related to any category.
You need to set them up in Posts > Categories > *Selected Category* > Background Color
