1. That's true, try by moving it a bit to the right by adding this line in the Custom CSS textarea (Advanced tab)
.util-menu {margin-right: 20px;}
2 . That would be possible in theory although it would most likely need some custom work in order to integrate the plugin with the newsletter style used for MailChimp integration, I think you'll most likely need the help of a professional in order to achieve that.
