I'm happy I bought your item which look really attractive, although I'm having some bad time on the set up. Here are my questions:
1) Is there a way to reduce the logo area height? It takes too much space to me
2) About homepage slide: As you can see I have three small news on the right side. I replaced the content of your examples to put my news there, but I don't understand how to manage it.
Same thing for the main carousel on the left side: how can I put content there? (I checked 'Feature this Post on the Homepage Slider' in a couple of articles but they don't appear).

2) I understood that I need to check 'Feature this Post on the Homepage Slider?' in order to publish the post in the main slide (on the left side). Still don't know how to manage content on the three smaller slides on the right side. I need specific content to appear there.. any clue?
1. The header height is not fixed but it depends on the logo size you upload, your logo image also have some white space around it, cropping it will also help reducing the padding hence the overall height.
2. How the grid works is explained in this FAQ. I you wish some specific content to display there you'd need to manually edit the template file (part-grid.php), it's not possible to do that through the theme option at this time unfortunately.
About issue Nr. 2, I don't think I will be able to modify the grid by myself (As a designer –not developer– I wish I knew it before buying the theme).
Anyway, since you created it, is it possible to hire you to do that?? I just need to control content on the three small slides, probably through categories or tags would be enough.
In case this is not possible, do you think I could replace this slider with another that has full control? Can you suggest any?
I could probably do that but I'd need more details to provide a quote. Do you need the grid to be controlled through some options or need fixed categories/tags?
Other third party plugins might work but yet it depends on which one as there are many out there that work in different ways. You might give it a try though.
FYI, please also be aware that I've been considering adding this in a future update, but can't guarantee if this will be done and on the timing.

About the grid control, as long as I can control the content that goes there it's fine. I just need to put a fix image in any of the three slides that link to a specific page. I am sure you can find the easiest solution to do that.
In the meanwhile I got a couple of new issues:
1 - on Safari, the grid slider titles get trimmed in the middle (image attached) after I go over it
2 - the 'home tabs' in the homepage, below the main slider, disappear when I switch to mobile view (checked on my smartphone also)
the update I have in mind for the grid would allow to select which posts to display in the grid by letting select the category and manually set the offset. It won't allow to pull pages in the grid as this is not a very common need (you're the first one asking for this). I'll put this in stand-by for a while and reply to your issues:

2. This is how it's supposed to be :) The home tabs don't work good on mobile view which should focus on main content.
3. Try with (To paste in Advanced > Custom CSS textarea)
Actually, I think that the solution you have in mind for the grid would fit for me. Do you have a date in mind for the update?

2. Oh, I didn't expect that... is there a way to display latest news of a determined category in simple pages (not homepage)? Something like HP category widget.
as I said that is on the "possible features" list hence can't provide a timing at this time unfortunately.

2. Perhaps placing the widget in a sidebar? Other than that you could try using the Visual Composer, insert a widgetized area inside a post, and use the widget. It's untested though.
