The COLORING FOR each section on the home page title boxes all appear one color. If you go to the actual section the correct section color works but not when displayed on the home page. You can see on the site.
What widget are you putting into the home page widgets Big, Small and Medium for the home page. Is it the Power Mag HP Category Regular?! Is the correct one? How do I get the color on each box on the home page to match its section color?
Category color needs to be set through the color picker in Posts > Categories > Category Color, not through the description field which is for menu items.
I set up the Science and Entertainment category as examples (the latter doesn't seem to have post in it yet though).

Yes that is the correct widget.
Are you setting up colors for categories in Posts > Categories? Because if I click the category link on the blog entry, it takes me to
http://www.thedeskreport.com/category/entertainmen...
which is actually Red.
If I click on the menu link though, it takes me to
http://www.thedeskreport.com/entertainment/
which is blue instead.
I think this is related to some external plugin or permalinks structure, please disable all plugins as first troubleshooting, thank you.

Howdy djwd! I started this site fresh with ONLY your plugins and template. There are no plugins to disable?!
PS... It's ONLY incorrect on the Home Page when you go into the sections it shows up correctly. :)
