    Hi

I'll make a summary of what i post in comments (didn't see there was a dedicated support section)

I did a first installation of the theme, i activated it, went to my ftp to rename the theme folder (i always do that, i like to have custom names that fits my website and never had any problem) and i went back to my website, i discovered that my website returned only a block of errors (i replaced my  infos with some generic one)

    The code is:

    Fatal error: Uncaught exception ‘Exception’ with message ‘load error: failed to find /home/username/public_html/mysite.com/wp-content/themes/newname/css/less/layout.less’ in /home/username/public_html/mysite.com/wp-content/themes/newname/inc/lessc.inc.php:1674 Stack trace: #0 /home/username/public_html/mysite.com/wp-content/themes/newname/inc/lessc.inc.php(1759): lessc->compileFile(’/home/username/...’) #1 /home/username/public_html/mysite.com/wp-content/themes/newname/functions.php(331): lessc->cachedCompile(Array) #2 /home/username/public_html/mysite.com/wp-content/themes/newname/functions.php(342): mgm_autoCompileLess(’/home/username/...’, ’/home/username/...’) #3 /home/username/public_html/mysite.com/wp-settings.php(329): include(’/home/username/...’) #4 /home/username/public_html/mysite.com/wp-config.php(115): require_once(’/home/username/...’) #5 /home/username/public_html/mysite.com/wp-load.php(29): require_once(’/home/username/...’) #6 /home/username/public_html/mysite.com/wp-blog-header.php(12): require_once(’/home in /home/username/public_html/mysite.com/wp-content/themes/newname/inc/lessc.inc.php on line 1674

So i tried reverting back to default name and it work just few seconds before giving me again the same errors.

Since now, no matter what i do i can't activate anymore the theme whereas i tried to fix this many ways:

    - Re-downloading files from themforest

    - Doing various fresh installs leaving the folder name as its default (and trying again with custom name)

    - Tried with different ftp apps, such as filezila or my host ftp

    - i empty the cache of my browsers

    etc.

Nothing worked. Impossible to activate the theme anymore. Each time i need to go to theme foder to move mightymag to a subfolder in order that thirtyyfourteen default theme can activate itself by default so i can' go back to my website.

By anticipation i’ll add that i couldn’t give you my info to access my wordpress and/or ftp, i choose to never give these kind of infos to anyone, so i hope you could help me to fix it with advices or suggestions, because honestly i don’t see what else i can do more than what i already tried.

    Thanks

    Hi there,

please move to the  /css folder, if there is a file named less.css, delete it

now move to the /css/less folder, if there is a file named layout.cache, delete it.

Delete any other cache you might have again (browser/CDNs/plugins), just in case.

Then open the site  on your browser and please share the results.

I followed the suggestions (included empty again browser cache etc.) but the error message remain the same.

Is there a function i need on my server that maybe my shared host don't have (i don't think so as i never had a similar problem with another theme, and it's a famous host with very complete server full of features) that would cause this error?

Or could it come from the theme itself?

Is there an update release for this week? Maybe it will fix the problem.

    Hi,

No specific functions are needed, first time I see this happening since release (a theme update wouldn't fix it since looks to be specific to your usage). Please make sure that the CSS folder permissions are set to 775, although I don't think this is related.

I was pretty sure that my advice would work. Did you try addressing this to your hosting provider? I suggest trying to install the theme on a fresh wp install and a new clean database without renaming the folder, and check the results.

I didn't contact my host yet as they just manage my shared server, i make my own wordpress installations (i don't use their auto installers) so i don't think they could do anything, except if you have told me your theme needed a special feature i could have ask them if it was supported by the server or no, but you told me it doesn't need any special requirements regarding the server.

Permissions were set on 755 by default (that's normal right?) for the theme folder so i changed them to 775 but it didn't change anything.

The new installs i mentioned in my first post were all fresh installs, each time deleting the database and recreating a new clean one and trying with files freshly donwloaded from themeforest (tried the "all in one package" and also the "only instalable" just to be sure (i didn't re-upload all wordpress files each time though, it would take too much time, and i tried with another theme i bought on themeforest to be sure, and it activated normally)

About folder name, i did all my test leaving the original name after i had the problem for the first time, it just worked once for few seconds that's why i thought it was linked to the name change, then when i reloaded i had the error (must have been the cache and made me believe it was activated)

I searched 1 week for the good theme for one of my project, and this one was the one i liked the most (features and design) and which fit the most my need for this project, too bad i can't activate it :(

I'm really sorry too about this!

Consider making an exception and provide FTP/WP dashboard credentials, otherwise I'm technically unable to help any further.
