There's not a specific "header layout" for that setup, it's enough to place an ad code or a static image source in Theme Options > Ads > Top Ad textarea and the ad will appear next to the logo.
As described in the documentation > Theme Options > Retina Support, the script loops through images and search for a file having the same name + @2x + extension.
Practically this means that if you uploaded an image called logo.png, you need to upload in the same directory a double sized version of your logo and name it [email protected] (by default uploaded images are located in wp-content/upload/folder)
