    Hi,

I have an issue just after installing the theme.

    Here is the message :

Warning: file_exists() [function.file-exists]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/home/web/geekandco.fr/www/wp-content/plugins/bwp-minify/cache/) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home/geekandc:/usr/lib/php:/usr/php4/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php:/usr/local/php4/lib/php:/tmp) in /home/geekandc/public_html/wp-content/themes/mightymag/inc/bwp-minify/includes/class-bwp-minify.php on line 466

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/geekandc/public_html/wp-content/themes/mightymag/inc/bwp-minify/includes/class-bwp-minify.php:466) in /home/geekandc/public_html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1121

    Have any idea ?

    Thanks !

    Hi there,
    thank you for your purchase!

The warnings seem to be caused by wrong folder permissions. Where are those warnings appearing (back-end/front-end)? Do you have WP_DEBUG mode active? Is there anything not working?

As a temporary solution while you set up your theme, I suggest to disable the built-in minifiers in Theme Options > Advanced

    Hi,

    Both front and back.
    WP_DEBUG isn't active, should I turn it on ?

Everything else is working fine, it just happens when I install the theme.
Is there a way of checking file permissions for the right values ?

I'll try to desactivate the built-in minifiers even though performance is a high argument for me so I hope we'll figure something out.

    Thank you,

It's not necessary to turn it on for the moment, actually it's odd as "warnings" shouldn't even appear with WP_DEBUG set to false.

By the way, it seems like the "cache" folder in which the minifiers place the generated files isn't writable, as your hosting doesn't allow that. Now I don't know if this is a rule for your hosting or permissions are editable.

In my hosting dashboard there's a feature that allow to reset file permissions by clicking a button, you might have that one too. If not, you can still try by giving the folder the right permissions (775) through FTP with a client like FileZilla.

If you don't know how to do that I would seek for help to your hosting provider they should do it for you.

    Hope this helps

Sadly, even with 775 over the "cache" file in /inc/bwp-minify, it does not work.

By the way I check and minifying in the Advanced tab is already turned off.

I really like your theme but I need a hand here, gonna call my host provider again, yesterday they told me maybe the theme tries to access to PHP tmp files which is not allowed as I have a mutualised (shared ?) host.

If you got any idea I'd be glad to hear it.

Thanks a lot for your help,

Ok, with my hoster we found out some more about the issue.

My WP installation was too old and f***ed up (many plugins leftovers in the database etc...) that it generated unknown bugs.

On a fresh install it works like a charm.

Thank you for your help anyway, I'm installing everything on a fresh WP install.

    Best wishes with your work,
