About the 'disappearing buttons' issue, I think it's specific to your machine as I can't replicate it on the live demo and your own site either. Have you tried this on another computer?
On the contrary I'm aware of the scrolling lag in Chrome, unfortunately Chrome has a very bad scrolling engine that on complex sites becomes more visibile. I already tried to make it smoother in past updates but I couldn't find a solution unfortunately.
Hi, I see but this can't be recognized as a 'bug' as it looks to be specific to your usage, I can't replicate it on the live demo. Honestly I wouldn't know how to debug this. In my personal opinion is not a big deal as I don't think anyone will ever scroll the page up and down like that in a real scenario.

It's cuted, in "Director's Edition" I'm trying to get this lag for a really long time, something about 3 minutes.
I just scroll page up and down, untill buttons dissapear.

FYI the sticky navigation relies on jquery.sticky plugin.
