Hey djwd, I attached a speed report from gtmetrix.com and it has a really good score. There's one aspect it ranks low at: "specify image dimensions" I tried looking for them by viewing the source of the homepage but couldn't find them. Regards Angela

    Hi there,

theme image sizes are specified throughout the code, unfortunately I can't specify dimensions for user's images. Those 50x50 images don't seem to be coming from PowerMag. My personal suggestion is not to obsess over GTmetrix results more than needed, as you already reached a high score. Keep in mind that a stock template can't fully respect all criterias like a custom site, as it has to adapt to hundreds different setups.

Ok thanks djwd. I am just trying to find ways of improving my website. I have been having a lot of problems with downtime for a while and its incredibly frustrating trying to solve it.

My hosting company tells me everything is fine on their side and I see your theme demo for Powermag runs pretty sharply. Are there any recommendations you can give to get mine working as smoothly??

    Regards

    Hi there,

Unfortunately I don't have any specific recipe, what I can say is that the live demo runs on a fast hosting provider (wpengine) and their CDN service, no external plugins except the recommended ones are installed (not even performance ones as w3 Total Cache or similar). Maybe you need to upgrade your hosting plan if you're not satisfied with your site speed considering the high rankings, hard to say!

WP Engine seems to be highly recommended by many, I will check them out. I have had a real nightmare with my current hosting company.

    Thanks djwd
