Hello djwd! I've just upgraded my page to 1.7.1 by manually overwriting all the files listed in your new changelog. Caches (WP3 Total Cache) were cleared afterwards. Then I saved the options for the theme once. But now the content is corrupted. Wrong formatting and visible codes on the site. Look here: http://www.digiwelten.de/test/alle-tests/test-mini-notebook-toshiba-satellite-nb10-104/2610/ Thanks for your help! Thomas

    Hi there,

looks like you didn't install/activated the Visual Composer plugin, that from 1.7 needs to be installed separately.

Please check this out in Appearance > Install Plugins to see the recommended plugins list.

    Hi Djwd,

tried to install it via the given link in "Install required plugins". Error message: "Runterladen des Installationspakets von /var/www/web33/html/digiwelten/wp-content/themes/powermag/inc/js_composer/js_composer.zip…

Download fehlgeschlagen. Es wurde keine gültige URL übermittelt." (Download failed. No valid URL.)

Tried to manually search for the plugin then. But there's no Visual Composer-plugin from WPBakery, it seems. :/

Visual Composer is a premium plugin from CodeCanyon, that's why you can't find it elsewhere.

The URL seems to be valid though, have you renamed the theme folder or using a child theme?

By the way an update was just submitted for WP 3.9, it will be available for download as soon as it passes the review process, I suggest to wait for this version before digging into this any further.

    Hello Djwd,

I was able to install VC after copying the .zip into the correct folder. Upgraded to the newest version then. Activated VC again. It is working, but there are different errors in the backend now (around "line 275").
Have a look at the picture please. :/

    Greetings,

    Thomas

That is a warning is safe to ignore. Please for the moment disable WP_debug mode in your WP config if you wish to hide it, thank you.

Errm, SRSLY?! Sorry, but it is not safe to ignore. Sometimes new text is missing after saving an article, because there's only that "warning text" popping up, after clicking the save-button. I'm risking content when ignoring messages like these. Sometimes the content looks corrupted without an option to go back to the VC-mode after saving, like shown on the attached pic. Editing articles is a catastrophe at the moment.
