Hi ya
We aren't able to update the Visual Composer plugin that comes with the theme. The VC documentation says to contact you for the product license. In the theme options, there is a field for an API key--is that what we need?
Thanks
Melissa DeMund
May I have a link to the documentation where it says that? Thank you
Btw I do not recommend to update the VC composer on your own as updates are not tested with the theme and I will only support issues related to the VC version bundled with PowerMag.
Can I update Visual Composer if I have purchased it in the theme?
"In order to receive latest updates of Visual Composer you need to have separate license which you can buy via CodeCanyon. Otherwise you need to wait for your theme author to update Visual Composer and provide you newest version.
It is also important to mention that our support system is for those who have purchased Visual Composer directly. If you have purchased it within a theme, you should contact your theme author for support."
"In order to receive latest updates of Visual Composer you need to have separate license which you can buy via CodeCanyon"
It says that if you want to update the VC on your own, you need to buy a standalone license via CodeCanyon actually, not really to contact the author :)
"Otherwise you need to wait for your theme author to update Visual Composer and provide you newest version."
That's what I suggest to do though, It will be updated in the next couple days.
Thanks for updating....I thought it worked, but then it didn't. See attached screenshots--VC popup window is cut off on the left, VC shortcodes are appearing in the post (in admin area and on live site).
Nope I didn't login yet. I was about to do that right now I don't want to mess up things. Please tell me when it's safe to login and do some debugging.
Please feel free to login in anytime...but can you please keep me in the loop while you're working? Let me know if/when you change settings etc? Feel free to IM me or email me... [email protected]
Do you have any idea why the sidebar widget content would have just disappeared? It seems to have happened around the time I updated the theme, though I'm not certain.

I get this message when I try to update:
An error occurred while updating WPBakery Visual Composer: Update package not available.
The documentation about contacting theme provider is in FAQ here:

Thanks for your response.
Can you let me know when it's done? We are unable to use Visual Composer at the moment.
Thanks.
The update last update (1.7.2) bundling VC 4.1.1.1 was released already. You can download it in your TF dashboard.

Isn't the theme able to be updated through the WordPress admin? One of the past updates was done that way, no?
No it's not possible unfortunately (never was).

Please try to disable all plugins except VC as the 'cutting off' issue looks to be specific to your usage, never saw that before.
About the shortcodes showing up is that happening for all posts? What about if you create a new one?

Yes, it's happening in new posts. The screenshot is from a new post.
In that case please provide admin access and I'll take a peek.

Are you working on our site? All of a sudden all of the widgets are gone. Please get back to me asap.
FYI, we had to repopulate them since our site is live, so if you are looking at the site you will see widgets present.

HI, please when updating the theme also update your VC plugin with the bundled package. With PM 1.7.2 the bundled version is VC 4.1.1.1
Perhaps installing this version will fix those issues, also don't forget to disable all plugins except VC when debugging.
PS: I can actually see sidebar widgets.
