hi, I already wrote about my problem in the comments on ThemeForest before I bought your theme ;) I know that it is a Personal Customization, but maybe you can help me, because this issue is very important for my site.
The problem is: So far, I used an old theme, where I had to attach images to posts using custom field called "Thumbnail". In this custom field links to jpgs were located on a server outside server (such as imageshack.us). Currently, connecting PowerMag Theme to my old page, I have no thumbnails at all of old posts (approximately 3000 posts).
Solution? At the beginning I wanted to import all the images on my server and then assign them as featured post image. Unfortunately, this solution proved to be too complicated for me.
So I came up with a different solution: I found a plugin Get The Image ( http://wordpress.org/plugins/get-the-image/ ) that easily gets links from my custom field and places them in a given location. Do not download the images on the server but actually fulfills the task.
So what I want from you? I need help to add code to your theme that in the absence of feature image embed a picture from my custom field (eg using the get_the_image).
I would be very happy and grateful if you help me because this problem prevents me from making public my website. Sorry for my english, I hope I described the problem clearly.
sorry for the troubles. Unfortunately being a personal customization it goes beyond regular support as you already know. I'm very busy at this time, if this is important for you I suggest to search for a freelancer on microlancer.com, should be a pretty cheap customization.
