I am trying to enable the minify options but running into trouble.
When I enable Minify CSS it breaks the site. The site loses formatting and looks terrible. When I enable Minify Javascript it kills the JackBox Lightbox.
Any ideas or fixes that you've run into? FYI I'm using WP Super Cache and Amazon Cloudfront CDN.
if you already use a CDN service it's possible for it to conflict with the built-in minifiers, as many already have one included (e.g CloudFlare, don't know about Amazon). Also some plugins are not compatible with it, with your setup I suggest not to use them and use some third party solutions (WPTC/CDN minifiers)
Sir Same with me, Whenever I try to Minify, My CSS is breaking Down. I am not using an Caching Plugin.
When I try to use Caching Plugin like: W3 Total Cache, Carousel widget breaks down & so does the slider. Can you guide me where I am going wrong & which caching plugin works best.
Please make sure you disable all pluigins and clear/purge all caches you might have (CDN/Plugins/Browsers). I am not very familiar with cachin plugins as it's not necessary when having a CDN service and the built-in minifiers. If you wish to use a plugin instead, disable the minifiers as they could conflict with each other.
Looks like the CSS path isn't correct for some reason. Have you ever installed the "Bwp-minify" plugin as a standalone? I believe there are some records left in the database from some other plugin. Do you have the chance to test this on a fresh install on a new database?
Otherwise you could just keep the CSS minifier disabled and rely on some external solution to unify stylesheets (caching plugins or CDN services)
Some hosting providers are not compatible with the built-in minifiers but honestly I don't think that's the case. The only way to troubleshoot this at this time would be to test it on a clean database on a fresh install, I know it could be time consuming though.
