Apologies for the delay. I don't have a ready to use child theme unfortunately but I will create it and include it in the package, seems like a good idea.
The problem looks to be related to style.css, please also copy the content of style.css (parent theme) inside you're style.css (child theme), let's see if it works, while I look deeper into this.
Hello, I tried to create a child theme but it seems to create bugs in the theme (some elements not showing properly).
Added this to style.css
/*
Theme Name: Snews Child
Theme URI: http://snews.djwd.me/
Author: djwd
Author URI: http://themeforest.net/user/djwd
Description: SNEWS | Eye-catching Magazine, Reviews & Newspaper WordPress Theme
Template: snews
Version: 1.4.5
License: GNU General Public License
License URI: license.txt
Text Domain: snews-child
Tags: three-columns, two-columns, left-sidebar, right-sidebar, featured-image-header, featured-images, full-width-template, rtl-language-support, sticky-post, theme-options, threaded-comments, translation-ready, post-formats, custom-menu, custom-background
*/
I also created a functions.php to allow uploading my .svg logo.
Thank you if you could provide me with some guidance on how to properly set up a child theme.
Hi there,
thank you for your purchase.
Could you please share a link so I can check what is not showing properly exactly ? That would help! Thank you.
