I will consider adding the option although since this the first request of this kind I get, being a stock template this is to keep in consideration. By the way the setting in WP query you're looking for exists, is called 'offset', can be implemented without much effort ( = cost) by a developer.

I was wondering if you could create a rule or an option on your category widgets to exclude the article that you're currently viewing from appearing?
I have 2 widgets: 1 streaming all the Latest articles in my sidebar, and 1 streaming the latest articles from the Category.
So you can be on any new article I post and see the same article twice in my sidebar.
It would also be great if these Category widgets could have an option to bring popular posts too, as you do with the Side Posts widget.
Let me know your thoughts, it would help the user experience on my website and others greatly.
