1. What do you mean you want to add a logo to the menu? Is it something you see on the live demo? Otherwise that would most likely need some personal customizations.
2. To display post previews when hovering the menu as shown in the live demo, you need to:
Add a category to main menu through Wordpress > Appearance > Menus
Enable the checkbox for the category in Posts > Categories > *Your Category > Show Posts Preview in Main Men
