that could depend on many things, usually is the hosting provider timeout time set too short for the import to complete.
By the way please be aware that the demo.xml file only imports what the Wordpress Importer can import (posts, comments, menus, tags...etc) not really setting up the theme settings, for which I suggest having a look the docs instead, for any specific issue I'm here to help!
which other customer? :) We don't usually provide installation services unfortunately, please try to set it up by yourself by having a look at the documentation and the articles section, and if you encounter any specific issue I'll be glad to help!
I read on the comments that another customer gave you the backend access and you fixed his problems, so I was wondering if you could do the same for me, since the issue is pretty much the same. I know you do not install the template yourselves, so I will try further on myself and will contact you should I encounter serious problems. Thanks.
Sure I do log into buyer's websites and fix issues for them if necessary, will do the same for you if needed.
"since the issue is pretty much the same."
I'm still not quite sure what your issue is then, furthermore you didn't provide an URL I can check.
If it's still about the demo.xml import, that is something that would most likely need editing hosting settings though, which I can't do. But again, for any other theme related issue I'm here to help.

please let me point out that importing the demo.xml only imports posts and pages, as the Wordpress importer can do. It won't setup the widgetized homepage as it is not a one click demo install, so even importing it you won't have a demo copy. You'll still need to set it up by reading the documentation and articles section.
Unfortunately installation services are not included in the theme price, although again, if you tell me what your issue is exactly I will be glad to help.
Thanks for the reply. I decided to switch to another template, since I couldn't manage to do what I wanted, even following step by step the documentation, as you had already suggested. Probably it is an issue with the server, on which I do not have any control.
Thanks anyway for your support, I will certainly use the template I bought from you for another project.
I get an internal server error when I try to install the demo to make it look like your website.
